Silent Addy
Silent Addy, born Addy Alexander, is a Miami-based DJ, music producer, and cultural tastemaker renowned for his influential role in the dancehall and Caribbean music scenes. Raised between South Florida and Jamaica, he has been instrumental in introducing and promoting Caribbean culture through music, events, and entrepreneurship.
Silent Addy began his career with the Miami DJ crew Eccentrix Sound, eventually carving out his niche by organizing and promoting dancehall-centric events. Notable among these are Way Up! Thursdays, Miami Vice Episode, Coco Jelly, and Bashment TV—a hybrid live and digital party series that has garnered attention from major artists like Major Lazer and Sean Paul.
As a producer and label head, he co-founded Bashment Records and has collaborated with prominent artists such as Projexx, Ape Drums, and Chi Ching Ching. He co-produced the track “Beat Dem Bad” featuring Vybz Kartel and Squash which exemplifies his ability to blend traditional dancehall with contemporary sounds.
In 2024, Silent Addy collaborated with Ghanaian artist Moliy on the single “Shake It To The Max (FLY),” which received a remix featuring Skillibeng and Shenseea, further showcasing his versatility and global reach in the music industry. The track has reached #1 Billboard Afrobeat US chat, #1 on UK’s Official Chart for Afrobeat, #1 on Shazam's global, and topped the Spotify Global Viral Chart.
